Cabin solar projects have continued to result in happy cabin owners in 2021.

After a successful Phase 1 of Cabin Solar Installs in 2020 with 13 installations completed, Phase 2 is well underway. So far in 2021, seven ACFN cabin solar systems have been installed and in the coming weeks there will be 8 Métis systems installed. MCFN has also purchased fifteen systems and is working on the details.

Phase 3 has been proposed and is in the early planning stages. Greenplanet Energy Analytics was happy to have interested ACFN members sign up at their sustainable energy display during Dene Days on Aug 25th and 26th.

The solar PV systems are currently under construction in Fort Chipewyan by none other than the solar power expert, Randal Perras with Greenplanet Energy Analytics. Once they’re completed in the coming weeks, they’ll be delivered by boat to their final home.

Clayton Stafford of Greenplanet Energy Analytics shares information with one of the many visitors at their Dene Days demonstration booth. Visitors were encouraged to join an interest list for the Cabin Solar Project.
