On April 27, 2023, Jonathan Luckhurst from Greenplanet Energy Analytics and Cheyanne Blesse from Three Nations Energy visited Athabasca Delta Community School to hold seed starting workshops. April is a great time of the year to start seeds indoors. The students were introduced to all the appropriate steps to take when starting your own seedlings. Starting off in a mini hydroponic dome with a proper grow light system, the seedlings would then be planted into regular planting pots with proper liquid plant food and will slowly be transplanted outdoors. The students all got hands-on experience with the seed starting process and the different textures between seed starter, organic matter and compost.
